The typical course of instruction may include:
NR561 – Addressing Global Health Disparities
This course explores global health inequities and examines strategies to address health disparities of selected populations. The ways in which globalization has changed patterns of the spread of disease and methods to control disease are examined. The role of the global nurse is emphasized as a catalyst for affecting positive change and improving health and healthcare outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Inspire students to complete their programs by providing regular, meaningful feedback about their academic performance, development and participation while encouraging them to engage fully in their education
- Engage students in meaningful asynchronous threaded discussions at least 4 days per week, moderating participation, evaluating responses and rationales, and responding to questions or comments
- Evaluate academic progress and comprehension of course content through assigning and grading quizzes, exams and writing assignments
- Exhibit
by displaying behaviors of care, respect and professionalism, creating a culture that fosters collaboration, cooperation and respect among all
Qualifications
You are encouraged to explore this opportunity if you meet these requirements:
- MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree are required
- A minimum of 2 years online teaching experience is required; preferably at the graduate level
- Must have an active unencumbered Compact RN nursing license
- Must also have Illinois RN nursing license (or willing to obtain at own expense)
- Must have subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
- Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
Additional Information
Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position – Online:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $825/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidates education and experience.
Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
