Overall responsibility is to maximize net revenue for Carnival’s casino and the company’s profitability. This mission should be achieved in a way that maximizes both guest and crew satisfaction. Responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of tools, analytics, and reporting that assist in maximizing onboard revenue, enabling better decisions, achieving strategic objectives, and increasing efficiencies.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare lists of past guests for marketing campaigns based on guests past onboard behavior, focusing on casino operations. Must use logic, coding, knowledge of different databases and software along with a strong understanding of the business in order to draw and analyze relevant data.
  • Define, evaluate, and analyze success metrics for core casino campaigns (mass market campaigns aimed at mass market casino guests of minimal value up through high value), trials, and tests. Reach concrete conclusions through interpretation of data and present results in a clear and concise manner. Prepare and present formal reviews (at least quarterly) to both the working team and senior management (SVP, EVP, etc.) to drive results.
  • Partner with IT and Global Casino Operations (GCO) to grow and improve the quality of data available. Provide guidance involving data requirements (fields, tables, and elements needed plus frequency of data updates). Write queries and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed for each enhancement and new system. Ensure accuracy of data.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for contact center and customer service teams in directing positive outcomes for customer service inquiries. Find ways to automate recurring needs/questions. This will require logic, coding, knowledge of different databases and software along with understanding of the business in order to draw and analyze relevant data. Provide 5-star customer service.
  • Review, improve/optimize and automate our existing casino campaign processes
  • Define, evaluate, and analyze success metrics for Premier campaigns (aimed at high value casino guests), trials, and tests. Reach concrete conclusions supported by facts. Interpret data and present results in a clear and concise way. Clearly communicate findings in written and verbal form. Drive insight. Prepare and present formal reviews (at least quarterly) to both the working team and senior management (SVP, EVP, etc.).
  • Contribute to the multi-year rollout of Carnival’s new CMS (Casino Management System). Ensure that new system delivers desired functionality, including (at a minimum) continuation of current system functionality. Develop a process that ensures guests data from incumbent/current system and new system is stored in the data warehouse so that it can continue to be used for campaigns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in performance/financial analysis.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced-level skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience in SAS, R, SQL or related tools/languages.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Organizational skills to coordinate action plans and implement actionable strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills to deliver effective and informative material.
  • Ability to adapt easily to change in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex analysis to varying management levels using a simple and understandable approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and provide support as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Minimal or no travel ship based.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

The range for this role’s base salary is $51,600 – $75,300. Offers to select candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
