While this consultant concept was brought to life over 50 yrs. ago, it has been re-enlivened and applied to the state hospital model of care.

Our services provide comprehensive assessments and detailed recommendations to the respective treatment teams. These will include specific psychopharmacologic, medical, behavioral, and other evidence-based interventions and the relevant staff education and training to facilitate their implementations. Our Staff members provide direct care, specialized services, and evidence-based individual/group therapies to adults with severe psychiatric conditions.

Some of what you will do

  • Design and implement group treatment interventions for competency restoration patients.
  • Therapeutically engage with patients
  • Provide individual and/or group treatment daily using evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Participate in ongoing literature review of current treatment interventions for use with severely mentally ill patients.
  • Conduct psychological testing.
  • Complete assessments of violence and/or suicidal risk
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan treatment in accordance with hospital and CMS guidelines.
  • Complete required documentation according to professional, hospital, and federal standards
  • Provide court testimony (where applicable).

Who should apply?

Professionals with a master’s degree in psychology or related mental health field from an accredited school or department of psychology.
