The Member Independent Negotiation and Evaluation Committee at Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK) is responsible for overseeing and managing the negotiation and evaluation processes for performance contracts with various public bodies. We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our dynamic team in this vital role.
Job Responsibilities:
The Member Independent Negotiation and Evaluation Committee shall have the following key responsibilities:
Negotiating Performance Contracts: Engaging in negotiations with public bodies to establish performance contracts.
Aligning Performance Targets: Ensuring that the performance targets and indicators of public bodies are in line with the organization’s strategic plan.
Citizen-Focused Results: Ensuring that the performance targets of public bodies are aligned with results that prioritize the needs and interests of citizens.
Mid-Year Performance Reviews: Conducting mid-year performance reviews of public bodies to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
Performance Evaluation: Evaluating the overall performance of public bodies to assess their effectiveness and adherence to performance contracts.
Media Monitoring: Monitoring news coverage and tracking public perceptions of Government policies and initiatives.
Collaboration with Government Agencies: Collaborating with other Government agencies and departments to coordinate messaging and ensure consistent communication.
Public Relations and Media Strategies: Advising Government officials and decision-makers on effective public relations and media strategies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be considered for the position of a Member Independent Negotiation and Evaluation Committee, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Educational Qualification: Possession of a minimum bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Kenya.
Professional Experience: At least 15 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
Top Management Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a top management position in a relevant field.
Knowledge of National Development Goals: Familiarity with national development goals to align performance targets effectively.
Performance Management Experience: Previous experience in performance management.
Chapter Six Requirements: Satisfying the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution, which pertains to ethical and integrity standards.
