Mission Systems FP&A is seeking a P5 principal financial analyst to join our team to support the Connect Battlespace & Emerging Capabilities (CBEC) and the BMC2 & Autonomy portfolios. As a financial analyst, you will play a crucial role in consolidating, analyzing, and reporting financials for CBEC and Autonomy Solutions programs and products. Collaborating closely with cross-functional leadership, you will gain a full understanding of the business and its associated financial assumptions, plans, risks, and opportunities. Your expertise will help shape our financial future and drive success for our team.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and analyze inputs for quarterly forecast for sales, profit, and cash flow, and perform the same effort for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Financial Plan (SFP).
- Identify/quantify risks and opportunities to ensure that the team and management are informed of the financial status and impact.
- Consolidate and present financial data to leadership teams.
- Provide detailed analysis of variances and summary of changes for the portfolio.
- Be the focal point for Overdue Delivery reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results in compliance with corporate policies and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Be responsible for reconciling, understanding, and confirming our financial data to support the monthly financial closing process and will utilize internal tools, Hyperion, and SAP heavily for analysis and reporting.
- Be responsible for understanding, preparing, and correcting journal entries when needed to support the monthly financial closing.
- Be the Revenue Recognition focal point for the portfolio.

- Ability to drive business change and implement FP&A processes for the portfolios.
- Self-starter with a willingness to take initiative, support strategic priorities, take ownership of assigned projects/initiatives, contribute to results, and be committed to meeting tight deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving skills: Individuals will need to be comfortable working through complex processes and systems changes.
- Enjoys working collaboratively on projects with other functional departments and has exceptional organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Expert-level use of Microsoft Office tools.
- Knowledge of Financial Planning and Analysis of business processes
- SAP and Hyperion experience
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience or, in the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD – 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
