Job title: Process Engineer
Company: Ocean Spray
Job description: The Process Engineering team plans, organizes and executes product innovations to support growth for Ocean Spray Cranberries. The Process Engineer provides dynamic technical leadership to innovations from inception through launch and supports other initiatives, manufacturing operations and related activities. Engineers work with functional business and operations partners to develop and test processes for new beverage and food products. The role is also responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements for existing products.
Position location: We’re all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays & Fridays remote.
A Day in the Life of a Process Engineer:
Design, develop, and commercialize processes for new products and product optimizations
Conduct hands-on bench and pilot scale tests
Design processes to ensure products are reproducible and robust enough to consistently meet consumer expectations, quality and cost requirements, and supply of raw materials, with consideration to the impact on plant operations
Travel as needed (30%) to conduct product/process commissioning and to provide manufacturing support for existing processes
Serve as technical leader on cross-functional project teams
Effectively manage technical timelines and multiple projects with competing deadlines
Align with Operations to develop best practices and standards that are consistent across the manufacturing facilities
Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems that arise from processing food and/or beverage products
Remain abreast of new processing technology and present concepts for application
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelors or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering.
Creative thinker with a passion for Innovation
Highly organized, self-starter able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt well to change and able to prioritize multiple projects.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with various levels of an organization.
Strong leadership skills.
Advanced PC skills: Windows, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Project or similar software desired.
