Job description: The Sales Specialist primary responsibility is to prepare and to deliver product demonstrations which bring-to-life the capabilities of the solution to help solve customers specific problems and to improve their business processes. The Sales Specialist is also involved in leading technical-proof workshops with customers and providing product-related inputs to RFP responses.
Location: Remote based position, can be based in any major US city.
About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Sales Specialist, you will:
- Prepare and deliver compelling overview or showcase demonstrations – both face-to-face and remotely of the Pondera solutions in your portfolio to highlight the major benefits and key differentiators of each.
- Undertake discovery work with other members of the selling & account team and with the customer to build a sound understanding of each prospect or customers situation and specific needs.
- Prepare and deliver customer-specific demonstrations to work through the technical proof phase of the sale focusing on how the solutions solves that customers challenges.
- You should be able to adjust your demonstration and delivery based on audience feedback.
- As a subject-matter-expert in the specific products in your portfolio, you will contribute to the creation and production of accurate responses to customer RFPs, specifically in the functional / technical requirements sections.
- Be an active member of the selling team listen for customer signals and concerns, provide feedback directly to the sales lead, and contribute ideas and suggestions as to how to advance the sale.
- Leverage your frontline experience and provide your feedback on product-market fit strengths and weaknesses to our colleagues in Product, Proposition & Marketing departments.
- You will participate in customer events, user groups and marketing initiatives, including leading sessions, demonstrating and confidently discussing the TR solutions.
Major Knowledge & Skills
- You have a good understanding of Pondera fraud, waste, and abuse detection and case management products and services.
- Youre comfortable at the front-of-the-room with good presentation skills, and youre a strong communicator who is confident, articulate, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
- You are comfortable dealing with all levels of an organization – from accounting personnel responsible for developing & producing analytics and reports and up to C-level execs.
- You are a product-junkie, always working to learn new tools and techniques.
- You have an analytical mind and enjoy thinking creatively to solve complex problems.
- You are self-starter, with a high level of self-direction, motivation, and energy.
- You enjoy traveling to meet with customers, and youre willing to be on-the-road approximately 40% of the time.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states (CA, CO, CT, NV, WA) and/or remote. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $140,000 – $260,000. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individuals knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
