The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. As part of WWSO, you’ll provide expertise across the entire… life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. Within WWSO, this position is part of the Worldwide Specialist Team, where you will lead the global GTM plan for SAP on AWS for Supply Chain and Procurement. You are a leader for specialists, architects, partners, and account teams around the world and set direction and standards for how we solve customer problems in your domain. You partner with technical and business teams across AWS and bring the voice of the customer into our product development roadmap. The WW team sees the big picture and sets the plan so the world’s most customer obsessed technical teams can make history.

In this role you are an expert in functional areas (Supply Chain & Procurement) in conjunction with processes enabled by SAP including strong familiarity in how customers implement SAP for these specific business functions and how they track corresponding business KPIs. You will identify gaps/innovation use cases for which SAP customers’ seek help outside of SAP applications using ISV solutions, bolt-ons, custom code or cloud-native services from hyperscalers (AWS experience preferred).

AWS and SAP have been collaborating since SAP became a customer in 2008. Together, we have certified AWS to support most SAP solutions, brought purpose built EC2 instances to market to support SAP customer needs, and helped SAP leverage AWS services to power a number of their SaaS and PaaS offerings like Concur, SuccessFactors (for government agencies), HANA Cloud Platform, Signavio and SAP Analytics Cloud. AWS has been supporting SAP workloads for customers longer than any other cloud provider (since 2011), and thousands of customers run their SAP ERP and adjacent business-critical systems on AWS today using RISE, traditional perpetual license, and hybrid deployment models. SAP runs more SAP BTP Services on AWS than any other Cloud Services Provider. Customers can modernize their SAP systems using 200+ AWS cloud native services and 80+ SAP BTP services running on AWS, including offerings for data lakes, AI/ML, GenAI, image recognition, chat-bots, and more.

Key job responsibilities
• tLead GTM to orchestrate sales motions for sales, marketing, partner, product, training, and professional services teams to accelerate adoption of your aligned technology domain.
• tLeverage your deep domain expertise to create best in class field enablement and sales strategy.
• tSupport field teams in solution building for high priority customers.
• tBring market signals back to product teams to drive innovation on AWS product roadmaps.
• tOwn reporting and planning cadences to AWS executives on GTM plan execution.
• tDemonstrate thought leadership and be able to credibly represent AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience

– 5+ years of Enterprise Applications experience

– Experience in Supply Chain and/or Procurement Processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.

– Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams, as well as internal and external executive stakeholders.

– Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives (e.g. CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO) and Line of Business Leaders.

– Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.

– Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment, including developing, implementing, managing, and executing go-to-market growth initiatives and sales motions.

– Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.

– Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
