Our local office is looking for a compassionate SLP in the following area who would like to make a positive and lasting impact in the lives of their patients:
Caseload Location: Little Elm, Texas
Setting: Full Time; Home Health
Schedule: Mon – Fri, No Weekends
Compensation: Up to $120,000 per year*

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Qualifications:
- Meets the qualifications as established by ASHA or other professional organization
- Licensed to practice Speech Therapy in the current state of practice
- Meets the education and experience requirements for a Certification of Clinical Competence in speech pathology or audiology granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; or meets the educational requirements for certification and is in the process of accumulating the supervised experience required for certification.
- Must be willing to work in home and clinic-based settings
- Valid, unexpired Drivers License and automotive insurance
- Experienced in pediatric rehabilitative services preferred
- Feeding Experience Preferred – training provided

Position Overview
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care according to the patients individual physician orders. Care may involve assessments, administering prescribed treatments and therapies, care planning, communication with other members of the patients multi-disciplinary team, supply management, emergency management, coordination of care, health promotion and teaching and training family members.
Essential Job Functions
Assessing, diagnosing, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders for children, adolescents and/or adults.
Design plan of care utilizing functional, measurable and attainable goals, based upon interpretation of evaluation results and patient and/or family goals
Provide a written evaluation defining Speech Therapy needs, goals and expected outcomes.
Maintains plan of care by performing timely documentation of client performance, modifying goals and treatment as needed, and determine discharge care plans as appropriate.
Participate in coordination of services (including discharge planning), with health care team, physicians, parent/guardians, nurses, and others.
Documents in accordance with Speech Therapy Standards of Practice, Aveanna policies and procedures and Regulatory Agency guidelines.Documents effectively resulting in no technical or clinical denials subsequent to review of documentation by payers
Maintain effective communication between staff, health care team members, and family.
Mentor peers, new graduates and serve as Clinical Instructor for speech therapy students as needed
Supervise CFYs, Speech-Language Pathology Assistants and/or volunteers as assigned
Maintain patient and company confidentiality.
Participate in program development, marketing, and continuing education for skill development and competency. Attend and participate with in-services as indicated.
Follow policies and procedures and conforms to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations and state laws.
Requirements
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA accredited college/university
Current and unrestricted SLP license to practice in the state of practice
Current CPR certification
NPI number
Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with policies and procedures
Additional state specific requirements:
Continuing Education as required by state
Preferences
One (1) year of recent experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in an acute care setting
Pediatric experience preferred

Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance

Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
