From pushback to landing, the Network Operations team is the eyes and ears on the ground no matter where in the world your United flight takes you.

Key Responsibilities:

The airfield/airspace simulation model practitioner creates fast-time simulation models of United’s hubs, line stations, and routes through an iterative process of data collection, data analysis, data processing, stakeholder engagement and simulation modeling. The airfield/airspace simulation models will be used to support United growth plans along with resolving impacts of gate, airfield, airspace, operational and/or network changes to United’s airport operations.
• Collects, analyzes and disseminates airfield operational data through various electronic databases, field verification surveys and consultation with collaborators
• Builds and refines digital models of airports and related airspace, to include aircraft movement and non-movement areas, gate areas, remote parking areas and arrival/departure procedures for each modeled airport
• Provides data-driven decision-making support through simulation modeling of proposed airfield construction, new runway construction, airspace redesign proposals, gating proposals, taxi flow changes and Network-driven demand changes
• Leads the analysis and data processing of raw simulation model outputs
• Data analysis will include quantifying raw simulation outputs and interpretation of the data to support decision making
• Prepares and presents written reports for complex simulation modeling studies, which includes presenting technical information to senior leadership and internal/external collaborators
